A one-hour troubleshooting session for football players at every level - from young players developing their game to professionals working through a specific challenge.
The problem
You know something is off.
Maybe it is a technical issue that keeps showing up no matter how much you train it. Maybe your positioning is consistently wrong in a way you cannot see from the inside. Maybe you are returning from injury and nothing feels quite right yet. Maybe you are playing well in training and disappearing in matches. Or maybe it is not technical at all. Maybe it is confidence. Mentality. The way pressure lands on you differently than it used to.
One hour with the right person, asking the right questions, watching the right things - can identify in sixty minutes what months of training has not resolved.
What happens in the session
We start with a short conversation - what you are experiencing, when it started, what you have already tried. Not to fill time, but because the context around a problem is often more revealing than the problem itself.
Then we get into the specific challenge. Depending on what it is, we might work through movement patterns, review footage if you have it, run specific technical exercises, or go through game situations and decision-making.
We end with a clear, written summary of what I found and a specific set of actions - not a generic list but a precise, ordered plan for the next two to four weeks.
Online sessions are conducted via video call. You will need enough space to demonstrate movement and, if possible, a ball.
In-person sessions take place in London at a location we agree in advance.
Who is it for
This session is for:
✓ Young players aged 12 and upwards who want focused development outside of their club environment
✓ Aspiring players preparing for trials, academies, or stepping up a level
✓ Semi-professional and professional players working through a technical, tactical, or mentality challenge
✓ Players returning from injury who feel something is not yet right
✓ Players based internationally - sessions available online, with in-person available in London, and visits to Europe and Africa by arrangement
My expertise
I played professional football in Germany, France, and Africa. I have worked with players at every level - from children finding their feet to professionals preparing for international competition and between-season camps.
What I bring to a troubleshooting session is not just technical knowledge. It is the ability to see what is actually happening rather than what looks like it is happening - and to distinguish between a technical problem, a physical problem, a psychological problem, and a contextual one.
Those are four different things. They need four different responses. Most coaching treats them as one.
Common questions
My child is 10 years old. Is this too young?
For a formal troubleshooting session, 12 is the recommended minimum age - younger than that, the format works better as a camp or group session. If your child is under 12 and you have a specific concern, get in touch directly and we can discuss what would work best for them.
I am based outside the UK. Can we do this online?
Yes. Online sessions work well for tactical, mentality, and movement analysis. You will need a device with a camera, enough space to move, and a ball if the session involves physical work. I have worked with players in Europe and Africa via video and the format is effective.
Do you deal with injury recovery?
I have extensive experience supporting players through injury return - rebuilding movement patterns, managing confidence after a long absence, and adjusting training load. I do not hold a formal physiotherapy qualification and will always refer to a medical professional for clinical matters. What I offer is coaching support around the return to performance, which is a distinct and often underserved need.
What if one session is not enough?
Some challenges are resolved in one session. Others benefit from a follow-up. After the session I will be honest with you about whether I think more time together would be useful and what that might look like. There is no pressure to book further - but the option is there if it makes sense.
Can a parent sit in on the session?
For players under 18, a parent or guardian should be available during the session - this is a safeguarding requirement, not just a preference. For online sessions, a parent being in the room is sufficient. For in-person sessions, they are welcome to observe.
